For your first consultation, you will be required to not shampoo your hair for at least 48 hours before your visit, as shampooing can wash away some of the vital evidence needed to diagnose your problem.

During your consultation, you will be asked questions about your health, diet, family history and how you care for your hair. The Trichologist is like a detective and must find the right evidence to confirm the cause of your problem. Every question is relevant and all answers are confidential. Your hair and scalp will be closely examined during the consultation and hair samples are often taken for  :
A/T Ratio
VMM Scalp Test
Hair Microscopy

Before making the diagnosis of your problem, you may also be advised you to have blood or allergy tests.

After a diagnosis and explanation of you problem, the best form of treatment or management will be suggested.
